ReNamer - A fantastic file rename utility
Cybernet recently reviewed ReNamer, a very impressive file renaming utility that definitely deserves a mention.
ReNamer (freeware) has the best interface I've seen in any utility in this category & is one of the few renaming utilities that lets you feel completely in charge of even very complex operations.

You might also want to check Quick File Rename, which also allows you to tag mp3s and rename from the command line. Not free though.
